Sick of pretending Universal Studios’ Men in Black: Alien Attack is fun? Start looking for flights to Dubai in 2018. That’s when a new theme park, Fox World, will open, with rides based on Ice Age, Rio, Planet of the Apes, Aliens, Predator, Night at the Museum, Titanic, The Simpsons, and Sons of Anarchy.
The Simpsons Ride already exists in Orlando and Hollywood, and it’s great, but all the others are new. In typical jargon-ridden business speak, Fox Consumer Products president Jeffrey Godsick said, “Fox World will be a world-class destination that will help fuel Dubai’s emergence as a global tourism destination,” and also biker gangs who love “oral/regular sex.”
Rides based on TV shows and movies are where it’s at right now. There’s going to be another Wizarding World of Harry Potter, not to mention Star Wars World and whatever Universal Studios has planned with Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fox World’s Aliens and Predator rides sound promising, and Titanic will be fun until the first couple sneaks away to the fogged-up car (it’ll be closed a week to get rid of the smell).
Sons of Anarchy: One Last: the Ride will take two hours to complete.
