Here Are All The Times President Obama Showed Off His Comedy Skills

Whether you like his politics or not, you have to admit that President Barack Obama has a pretty great sense of humor and a quick wit. Occasionally, he uses those tools to great effect on late night shows like The Colbert Report, web-videos like Between Two Ferns, and last night during the White House Correspondents Dinner when he scared the hell out of his anger translator. Will the next President be as skilled at intentionally making us laugh? I don’t know, but as you can see from this slideshow, they’ve got their work cut out for them.

Mean Tweets

I’m pretty sure these tweets don’t represent the pinnacle of meanness with regard to tweets about President Obama, but it’s still pretty funny to see Obama see the error of his Mom Jean ways.

Slow Jamming the News

I’ll give the President points for finding new and popular ways to reach young voters, but it would have been better if he would have done more than just rattle off his position. #LetObamaSing

Between Two Ferns

Once again, the President went viral in an effort to push his agenda. This time it was Healthcare.gov, but at least we got to see him take the piss out of Zach Galifianakis for The Hangover 3.

The Colbert Report — The Decree

Obama subbed in for Colbert for a very Presidential edition of “The Word” while trying to promote… eh, at this point, I’m really just paying attention to the funny parts.

Iron Man

Are we building Iron Man? Maybe.

The President’s Original Birth Video

The President has had a lot of fun with the obsession over his birth certificate and this may be the best of it as he reveals his “birth video” before a clip from The Lion King plays. The best part? Donald Trump is in the audience and it sure doesn’t look like he’s laughing.

The President’s Anger Translator

Not the President’s line, but there’s no way I’m not closing this out with, what I personally think, may be the funniest thing said in Obama’s presence over the years. “Khaleesi is coming to Westeros!”
