Seriously, what if Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) took a trip to Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Brooklyn after leaving Park and Recreation‘s Pawnee, Indiana? How would she interact with Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and the rest of the precinct? Despite their being at two different stations, THR rightfully points out that both shows share creator and executive producer Mike Schur. So they weren’t surprised by Samberg’s idea in today’s interview:
THR: If you could cast any actor for a guest spot on the show, it’d be…
SAMBERG: Parks and Rec fans heads might explode, and it’s pretty sacred ground, but the dream really would be for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) to show up in Brooklyn. I don’t know if we’d have to talk to NBC about that.
THR: Brooklyn and Parks are produced by the same studio, it could happen. What would that episode look like, if you were to pitch the story?
SAMBERG: I assume Leslie Knope and Jake Peralta just making passionate love for a week straight [laughs]. (Via THR)
Throw in a brief Louis C.K. cameo as Officer Dave Sanderson and we’re all set, Samberg. Knope visits the station, makes mad love to Peralta, Sanderson goes into a jealous rage, and comedy ensues. I think. JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN.
