It’s been nearly a year since Anna Paquin concluded her run on HBO’s True Blood. Currently, the actress has nothing on the docket for 2015. However, according to a recent report, Paquin is heading back to HBO for an all new mini-series the actress will executive produce with Jack Black:
HBO is in negotiations for Madame X, a period miniseries based on Kate Manning’s book My Notorious Life, which would be toplined by True Blood star Anna Paquin. She would be executive producing with her True Blood co-star/producing partner Stephen Moyer through their production company CASM and actor Jack Black through his Electric Dynamite banner. The series will center on Axie Muldoon, a wealthy and controversial woman living in Victorian New York City. Axie helps her husband build a midwife business while defying laws meant to defend women’s reproductive rights. The book is inspired by the real life Madame Restell, a New York City-based abortionist who practiced during the early 19th-century.
