As noted earlier, ABC is adding a whopping thirteen new shows for the 2011-12 season, and clips from the five new sitcoms have leaked. I’m not sure if Disney’s corporate thugs are going to yank these clips offline, so let’s skip the lengthy descriptions and get straight to video-watchin’ while we can.
Apartment 23

Originally called “Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23,” Krysten Ritter stars as said bitch, along with James Van Der Beek as himself and Dreama Walker (“The Good Wife”) as a naive Midwesterner. This looks like it could be a breakout comedy that everyone will talk about, so of course ABC is holding it until midseason.
Suburgatory

Get it? Like purgatory, but in the suburbs! Nothing fancy in this, but Cheryl Hines and Jeremy Sisto (“Six Feet Under”) are both excellent. Seems like a sensible and solid creation from the network that brought us “Modern Family.”

Just like Paul Reiser, Tim Allen is returning with a sitcom 15 years after his last one made him a household name. And just like “The Paul Reiser Show,” this looks terrible.
