Game of Thrones spoilers ahead.
Episode five of Game of Thrones season six, “The Door,” gave us all the feels by sending Hodor off to Tha Crossroads while revealing his name means “Hold The Door” (inspiring many a meme and doorstop-related arts and crafts project this week). Since that episode, show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have sort of apologized, George R. R. Martin has weighed in to say Hodor’s story will be a little different in the books (but still means “Hold The Door”), and Bran Stark actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright has said what we were all thinking.
Now Hempstead-Wright and Hodor himself (Kristian Nairn) are showing the internet how to properly grieve for our favorite dead characters: By stuffing one’s face with cake. Nairn received a door-themed cake from pastry chef Rachel Weuman of W Hotels Worldwide and shared this picture.
He shared the cake with Hempstead-Wright, who happened to be there:
Even after all he's done to poor hodor. I'm still sharing my cake with @Isaac_H_Wright #love #gameofthrones pic.twitter.com/xJXHu7RVGj

Even though Hodor may be gone, @KristianNairn isn't getting away from me that easy… #HoldTheDoor #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/9YSLN7z6KN

Even after all Hodor has done for Bran, he still has to share his cake with the little greenseer because Bran just won’t stop using Hodor. Yes, we’re talking about Nairn and Hempstead-Wright as if their characters were real. It’s still real to me, damn it.
