If this anecdote Bryan Cranston relayed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Monday night is any indication, rest assured that, in real life, the Trumbo star is much, much more Hal from Malcolm in the Middle than Walter White from Breaking Bad. First, Cranston reveals that he resolved an issue with the tie that he wore to the show by just cutting the part in the back off with scissors when it came down longer than the part in the front.
He then elaborates by telling Fallon that he would basically be a lost, helpless lamb without the help of his stylist, who puts together all of his outfits and then takes pictures of the outfits so he knows what things go together. His stylist even goes so far as leaving detailed notes with instructions, like the one he left prior to his Tonight Show appearance on tying his shoes, to “tuck laces and double knot,” adding, “You remember how I taught you, right?”
A lesser man might feel emasculated, but, as we all know, Bryan Cranston is a perfect gentleman and overall wonderful human being, so it’s clear that the guy is just thankful for the help.
