Guardians of the Galaxy star and former male stripper Chris Pratt just confirmed he’s in final negotiations join Jurassic World. We learned he was being sought to play a “rugged ex-military man” opposite a corporate scientist played by Bryce Dallas Howard. He says he wants the role. Now it’s just a matter of working around his schedule.
“I am now in contention for roles no one would have considered me for before,” says Pratt, confirming that he is in final negotiations to star in sci-fi reboot Jurassic World. “I know I want to do it and I know the director (Colin Trevorrow) wants me to do it so now it’s just a matter of everyone coming together and making sure it can work.” [News Limited via Screenrant]
Meanwhile, Trevorrow recently tweeted that Jurassic World isn’t a reboot. It picks up in real time, 22 years after the events in the first movie. It doesn’t open until June 12th, 2015, assuming it doesn’t get pushed back again, so hopefully they can work out the schedule with Chris Pratt. If not, we’ll just blame it on this economy.
