Last night, SNL aired a skit in which its cast was asked to draw the prophet Muhammad. While the idea behind “Picture Perfect” draws from recent news headlines about controversial illustrations of the religious figure, it seems the exact comedic premise of the segment has already been done.
As one of our own commenters and Pajiba both point out, a nearly identical sketch was produced by the weekly Canadian TV show This Hour Has 22 Minutes back in January. CBC’s version, dubbed “Win Lose or Draw Muhammad,” was much shorter and, to be perfectly honest, much more effective.
