After what happened at the end of Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones, in which the entire viewing audience choked a collective sob at the fate and backstory of Hodor, one very important detail was overlooked. Following the scene where Arya watches the play based on her family’s life to scope out the target of her assassination for the faceless men, a quick cut to backstage provided — while not the first hint of male nudity on Thrones — a full frontal, gratuitously close up dick and balls shot, thanks to the actor who was playing Joffrey who was worried about a bump on his wiener.
And nobody is more excited about this new revelation than the mother of dragons herself, Emilia Clarke. A longstanding proponent of equal opportunity nudity on Games of Thrones, Clarke stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday night to chat about her own empowering nude scene this season, which she proudly did not use a body double for.
To that point, Colbert also took the opportunity to ask Clarke about the new character on the show, by which he meant: “the new character is a penis.” “It’s about damn time, right?,” he said, to which she responded, “Well, I think so! You know I did it, why can’t the boys do it?” When Colbert pointed out that it was “full on, undercarriage and everything,” Clarke admitted, “I think they heard me, yes! Junk equality!”
Junk equality, people. There you have it. Welcome to 2016, everybody!
