After a rumor surfaced in July regarding a possible revival of Fox’s series Prison Break, the network confirmed the plans are a go at their summer TCA panel this week. The series initially ended its four season run in 2009 and since then, the show’s stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell have found themselves living a villainous life on CW’s The Flash, as well as the network’s upcoming Legends Of Tomorrow series.
According to Variety, Fox has confirmed both Miller and Purcell will be returning as brothers Michael and Lincoln for the 10-episode series sequel. There’s also a strong possibility Sarah Wayne Callies will return to reprise her role as Sara — who may or may not be dead — because…continuity is difficult and twists are fun?
Show creator Paul Scheuring is allegedly already working on the script, which will find the story picking up a few years after the show’s original finale. The limited series is set to begin shooting early next year and will probably make it to air sometime in the 2016-2017 television season.
