Matthew Perry may have dashed fan dreams when he said that he wouldn’t be making it to the Friends reunion, in addition to David “Robert Kardashian” Schwimmer — who isn’t making any promises other than “showing up.” However, on Sunday night, a different kind of reunion went down right under our noses. Five out of six “Friends” attended a gala tribute to director James Burrows, along with the cast of none other than The Big Bang Theory, and it was all captured for internet posterity by stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, along with fellow Big Bang cast mates Jim Parsons and Simon Helberg. Unfortunately, Matthew Perry was likewise not able to make it to the dinner.
It may not be the Friends reunion we wanted, but it’s the one we’ve got. It would make for one hell of a crossover episode, that’s for sure.
