HBO’s Game of Thrones has, with the possible exception of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the best opening credits on television right now. The stirring music. The ever-changing geography. The dragons. The Peter “Space Pants” Dinklage getting top billing. There’s nothing else like it, and now you can take a 360-degree tour of the title sequence, just in time for the season six premiere.
It was a team effort, according to Entertainment Weekly: “HBO, Facebook, and Oculus collaborated with Elastic – the designers of the opening title sequence – to create this 360/VR version of the show opener.” You can fly over Winterfell, scope the Narrow Sea, see what the Titan of Braavos is packing under his skirt, and check out Dorne, but don’t do that. Dorne is super boring. It’s like the “A Whole New World” scene from Aladdin (Jon Snow always fancied Ygritte as his Jasmine), except with more dragons and giant walls.
One thing to note: If you suffer from motion sickness, you may want to sit this one out; it might be hard to watch. Sansa Stark’s already having a rough go of it — she doesn’t need to worry about falling vomit, too.
Game of Thrones season six premieres April 24.
