After some early episode hiccups (like the infamously terrible Brody episode), Homeland got really good again in Season 4. Like, the best it’s ever been. Much of that had to do with more Rupert Friend, a better Jeremy Renner than Jeremy Renner, and Carrie (mostly) keeping her sh*t together. Season 5 will jump forward in time about two years, when Carrie is no longer working for the CIA; she’s now employed at a private security firm in Germany. But the more things change, the more Saul telling her she’s “being naive and stupid” stay the same.
