Screen Junkies was nominated for an Outstanding Short Form Variety Series Emmy Award, so they’ve made an honest trailer making fun of the shows Emmy voters love or even work on. Screen Junkies is not here to make friends.
The series usually lambasts movies and video games, but the creators have taken on TV shows in the past, including Game of Thrones and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They return to the Game of Thrones jokes again here, along with the rest of the nominees in Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Comedy. The People v. O.J. Simpson is also included (despite not getting nominations in the categories being lampooned) because “it was awesome.”
As Deadline points out, this is the first year the TV Academy is awarding Emmys for short-form categories, and Screen Junkies has definitely earned its nod. Not only do they garner roughly 2.5 million views per episode, but they even (superhero) landed Ryan Reynolds himself to voice their Deadpool honest trailer.
As per their usual custom, each show gets a new nickname, like “Downers and Dragons” (Game of Thrones), “Wacky Room” (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), and “Better Not Call Him Saul Because We’re Two Seasons In and His Name Is Still Jimmy.”

- And a whole lot more.
