Remember last week when news of a potential John Stamos-produced, updated version of Full House hit the Internet and ’90s kids across the country spilled Crystal Pepsi on their hypercolor slap bracelets? Well, turns out that ain’t the only iron Stamos has in the ol’ fire. He’s also attached to star in two (2) upcoming projects at ABC. HAVE MERCY. Oh God. Oh, I immediately regret doing that. Please disregard. DISREGARD.
The first project, Members Only, is a midseason drama that is decrisbed thusly:
An upstairs/downstairs drama set at an exclusive Connecticut country club, centered on the club’s leisure-class members and the working-class employees that make the place tick. Stamos will play female lead Mickey (Natalie Zea)’s fast-talking hedge-fund billionaire husband whose marriage to Mickey has bought him what his money never could: membership.
As for the second, as yet untitled project:
The comedy series project, written by Danny Chun (The Office), will have Stamos play a version of himself — a charismatic lifelong ladies man whose life is upended when he discovers that he has a grown son who is nothing like him.
To recap, John Stamos has three projects (that we know of) in the works: 1) An updated version of a beloved show from decades ago that he apparently has a not-insignificant financial stake in; 2) A drama where he plays a billionaire who is married to Natalie Zea; and 3) A show where he basically plays himself, John Stamos, the handsome Greek devil who does stuff like those first two things. This friggin’ guy, right?
