Jaime Lannister (aka Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) dropped by Conan last night to chat Game of Thrones (and not New Amsterdam, whoever’s behind that Kickstarter). After much talk of what it’s like going from S1’s pretty Jaime to S2 & 3’s crack-full-o-mud Jaime, Conan got around to mentioning how much the character looks EXACTLY like Prince Charming from Shrek.
I’m sure the resemblance has been pointed out thousands of times by Mike Myers in his basement, but it had never crossed my mind and I’m a sucker for a good side-by-side presented to an actor during a late night interview, so there you go. Clip below. Also, I’m not sure why or how, but for some reason Prince Charming’s entry on the Shrek Wikia is a complete biography of Jaime Lannister, without any mention of the animated movies. Did I just stumble upon the world’s randomest easter egg? Possibly. My conspiracy theory here also involves Mike Myers in his basement.
Oh, and about that time Nikolai peed on George Clooney. We’ve all been there.
