On Survivor, Emmy-winning host Jeff Probst is used to granting immunity (or not) to people who’ve willingly decided to live in the sticks to entertain us. Unfortunately for Probst, he’s given up all chances of earning his own immunity after a prank-gone-wrong, resulting in his accidental insult of an old friend’s mother.
Probst and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl are friends, and their families vacation together, so when the pair met Adam Levine on a recent trip, Probst decided to prank Grohl. The results of #Prankgate included a scenario creepily similar to the To Catch a Predator series, a freaked out Grohl, and Probst’s ill-fated response to an old friend from the band Queensrÿche.
In the end, Grohl was confused, Levine didn’t even know any of this had happened, and Probst was — to adopt his own term — a “super dick.”
