Watch A Young, Floppy-Haired Jon Hamm NOT Get Picked On A 1990s Dating Show

Jon Hamm is routinely considered one of the world’s most attractive men. He’s also a skilled actor and comedian who’s worth $15 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But back in the 1990s, he was a floppy-haired dating show contestant who looked like Dean from Gilmore Girls. Vulture uncovered footage of the Mad Men star on The Big Date, a USA Network show hosted by Mark L. Walberg (please note the spelling) in which “swinging singles try to hookup with the opposite sex and questions.”

He’s one of three contestants interviewed by Mary, who he’ll treat to “fabulous food,” “fabulous conversation,” and a “fabulous foot massage.” AND SHE PASSES. Someone should probably check on Mary today, just to make sure she doesn’t do anything she might regret. LIKE SAYING NO TO JON HAMM.

UPDATE: Salon tracked down the woman from the show.

Turns out that Carter, now Mary Lou Sandler, only learned that she passed over the famous actor “this morning at 7:05 a.m.” when a producer from TMZ tweeted her about the clip. “I didn’t even know he was on the show,” Sandler told Salon over the phone.

“I know who he is, I know what the show is, but I’ve never seen an episode.” When asked if she’s going to watch “Mad Men” after this, Sandler said, “Um, no. I don’t think so?” She added, “We don’t really have TV here. We work 24-7.”
