In the first time since their break-up, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy did a joint interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. While the ex-lovers had a show to promote, Kimmel made sure to address the break-up.
Naturally, the reasons for the split came up, with Miss Piggy noting Kermit’s leaving the seat up and washing dishes while sitting in the sink. Kermit, meanwhile, passively aggressively brought up Piggy’s self-centered disposition. Kermit’s new rebound, Denise, also came up. She’s younger than Miss Piggy, but “old enough, but not as old as she could be.” As for Miss Piggy, she’s enjoying being single and setting higher standards for her next beau. After suggesting that she go on The Bachelor, Kimmel set up a Tinder profile for Miss Piggy.
The “About” section? “Looking for guys into stys. Let’s get this pig in a blanket.” One Million Moms isn’t going to like that one bit.
This leads to some other inappropriate questions I’ve had about Muppet dating. I get that the inter-species Muppet on Muppet thing is acceptable, but if, say, Nathan Fillion wants to give it a go, is that acceptable in Muppet culture? Also, I’d have to guess that post-coitus cleanup might be an issue.
