If you’ll remember back when Rob Lowe was last on Conan, he reminisced about the time he shot a series for NBC in a studio that was situated next to a dildo factory. It was an interesting tale, but I’m thinking that The Last Man On Earth has taken the spot of Lowe’s series and the cast — namely Kristen Schaal — seem to love it. Schaal says that one is called Pipe Dreams and the other she affectionately calls “Forever Boyfriend,” but that’s sadly not its real name. Both churn out dildos like it’s nobody’s business, keeping the economy alive one piece of plastic your dog will ruin at a time.
Watching Conan and Andy act out the dildo factory workers handling the very hot dildos is pretty hilarious. It’s something you should see in an ad some time, possibly with that Dunkin Donuts guy who used to cry about having to make the donuts. Now he’s back to work and feeling great (unless he’s dead, of course).
I also like the Boogie Nights connection, mostly because I was just reading up about the Wonderland murders and that whole world of pornography back in the ’70s and ’80s. I can only imagine what the sights were back then. Or I can go raid my uncle’s video collection.
