If you’ll recall, a few weeks ago Lindsay Lohan dropped a bombshell on the series finale of her OWN docuseries, Lindsay, by claiming that she had suffered a miscarriage during filming — a last minute Hail Mary to excuse her unprofessional behavior — which was quickly reported to be yet another one of her lies.
Now, according to TMZ, Lohan is going on the record with the claims she had a miscarriage as an excuse for not responding to a $5 million lawsuit from her clothing line 6126, which she is now appealing. I have no idea what the lawsuit even entails, but I assume that Lindsay Lohan was contractually obligated to do something and then didn’t do it. (Stop working with Lindsay Lohan!)
In the new court docs, Lindsay writes, “I have been overwhelmed since leaving rehab and dealing with my sobriety and a miscarriage.”
There’s been tons of speculation that Lindsay made up the miscarriage story to garner buzz for her Oprah show — or maybe just to get sympathy votes — but these are legal documents … which means she’s under oath.
If it comes out that Lindsay lied in the docs … under penalty of perjury … she could face jail time.
Now, I’ve never been pregnant or had a miscarriage, but a quick Google consensus confirms my suspicions that women generally should go seek medical attention after experiencing one, so one would assume that there’s proof out there if it really is true. Of course, Lindsay Lohan finally, finally getting thrown in jail for faking a miscarriage would be about as likely as Walter White’s undoing having been over an unpaid parking ticket.
