With its ever expanding cast, there are currently a lot of eyes focused on Starz’s upcoming Evil Dead sequel starring Bruce Campbell, Ash vs. Evil Dead. But, despite production being set to start any day now, the show isn’t done rounding out its cast as a new report claims none other than Lucy Lawless is joining the roster.

Lawless will play Ruby, a mysterious figure who is myopic in her quest to hunt down the source of the recent evil outbreaks. The only problem: she believes that Ash is the cause of it all.
The series will pick-up with Campbell’s Ash as a stock boy who has avoided facing maturity for the last 30 years. Unfortunately, when a Deadite plague threatens to wipe out all of mankind, he has no choice but to face those things he’s been avoiding and more. The series is going to feature 10 episodes with Sam Raimi set to direct the pilot.
