Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner was a guest on Conan last night. When the topic of crazy fan theories came up, Weiner brought up the D.B. Cooper theory.
To refresh your collective memories, D.B. Cooper was the name given to the man who hijacked a plane in 1971, stole $200,000 in ransom money and parachuted into oblivion. The man was never caught by the authorities and according to many internet theorists, the police sketch of Cooper bares a resemblance to Don Draper.
Weiner shot down the theory by pointing out how most police sketches of white guys without mustaches look like Jon Hamm. Even though a plane crash wasn’t in the budget for Lionsgate, all signs might still be pointing to Don Draper’s death in the series finale.
Oh well, at least we have the above “clip” to hold us over until Sunday.
