With production in its early stages for release later this year, Marvel is currently finishing up the casting of its follow-up to Netflix’s Daredevil, AKA Jessica Jones. Most recently, the series added Carrie-Anne Moss and David Tennant to the show’s 13-episode run, and three more co-stars have now come into the fold in the form of Eka Darville (The Originals), Erin Moriarty (Red Widow), and Wil Traval (Red Widow). The actors will respectively play Jessica’s next door neighbor, a girl who becomes a client of Alias Investigations, and an NYPD officer.
Jessica Jones is the second part of a four-part build up to a mini-series event called The Defenders. In the mini-series, the characters of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will team-up to protect New York City from a yet to be named threat. Currently, that mini-series is expected to be released sometime in 2017, given the existing timetable for Marvel’s Netflix slate.
