It was difficult not to notice Matthew McConaughey’s unkempt beard and overall haggard look tonight at the Golden Globes. I was pretty sure he was channeling “Alaskan Hiatus” Rust Cohle, but turns out the look is all for a Civil War film he’s currently shooting. So when the production crew asked him to hurry up his presentation of Best Actress in a Drama, everyone’s favorite Lincoln spokesperson (presumably) channeled his latest character to remind all involved if you tell Matthew McConaughey to speed things up it’s going to get a little weird.
Congrats to Julianne Moore for getting presented her award during the closest thing we’ll ever see to a Civil War reenactment in the state of California.
