Netflix Has A Plan To Help Parents Trick Their Kids Into Going To Bed Early On New Year’s

Let’s say you’re the parent of one or more rambunctious, screaming toddlers. And let’s say these hypothetical children are very, very excited about staying up until midnight on New Year’s Eve. And let’s also say that you are in no way above lying to your children to avoid ringing in 2015 with them, whether it be to go out for an hour or two with some friends, or sip champagne in quiet peace with your sweetie, or just to keep little Brayden and Kayyleeeigh on their regular sleep schedule.

Netflix has your back.

That is why Netflix created an on-demand countdown hosted by King Julien, the animated lemur from the company’s series All Hail King Julien. Families can start streaming it any time they please.

The three-minute New Year’s Eve countdown includes many of the dancing lemurs from the film and will be available to stream beginning today at Netflix.com. [CNN Money]

Yup, you can pull up this countdown and trick your kids into thinking midnight is happening whenever you want. Hell, with how early it gets dark in late December, you can probably do it at like 7:30 if you want, provided your children are very gullible and do not have access to a clock. You can do this, parents. You can LIVE AGAIN*!
