A first look at Iron Fist is hardly the only action that Netflix is delivering this week. Just how unfortunate are the events in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events? They’re so unfortunate, Patrick Warburton tells us in the new teaser, that the crew’s morale has deteriorated to the point that everyone is under medical watch. Bummer. But that’s probably great news for us streaming addicts at home, as the eight-episode series is almost certain to be filled with enjoyable stories and performances from the star-studded cast, led by Warburton as Snicket and Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf.
Warburton and Harris are joined by Malina Weissman (young Kara Zor-El on Supergirl) as Violet Baudelaire, The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi as Uncle Monty, Bernadette Peters as Aunt Josephine, and the always wonderful Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss. As for Harris’ portrayal of Olaf, we get a little taste of his voice in the above teaser, but if that’s not enough for you and you demand to know that his look will be authentically menacing and highlighted by his overgrown eyebrows, you can rest assured with these production images.
That will have to hold you over until Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is unleashed on Netflix on Friday, January 13, 2017. Friday the 13th? How… fortunate.
