Norman Reedus Responds To Rumors He’s Dating Former ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Emily Kinney

Yesterday, Us Weekly reported Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney were dating based on their anonymous sources, who were apparently fan-fiction writers who didn’t know what the hell they were talking about. Norman Reedus, in turn, released a statement last night saying the opposite.

“We can confirm that they are not dating,” his rep said, according to MTV News.

Meanwhile, we can also confirm that this was Melissa McBride’s response to the news that Norman Reedus is not dating Emily Kinney.

That doesn’t mean that Norman Reedus isn’t dating anyone, as he took to Twitter last night after refuting rumors that he was dating Kinney to announce the arrival of a new couple.

Joe Dirt must be so heartbroken.

Michonne Quotes For When You Need To Cut A Problem In Half

by Keith Reid-Cleveland

Throughout Michonne’s long transformation from a cold-hearted loner to the authoritative matriarch of the group on The Walking Dead, she’s never forgotten how to survive. It’s just what she does and it’s a valuable lesson that we can all learn from — perseverance in the face of doom and, in most cases, the absence of a katana. So, here’s a list of Michonne quotes for when you need to (metaphorically) cut a problem in half.

“My sh*t never stopped being together.”

With an entire world in chaos, the survivors of the apocalypse are often looking for a place to lay low and restart life – a place to get their sh*t together, if you will. Well, Michonne never really needed that because, as far as she was concerned, her sh*t never stopped being together. While you can easily argue otherwise, perhaps pretending she had things under control was the only was she kept moving forward all that time.

“I just couldn’t leave this behind. It’s too damn gorgeous.”

Early on, Michonne really just had one purpose: to stay alive at all costs. After living a mostly solitary life for such an extended period of time, it took a while for her to warm up to people again. But a person can only stick to themselves for so long before it starts to eat away at them. So in “Clear,” we got to see her bond with Carl and see her more nurturing side that resembles her pre-zombie self. Taking time to appreciate the small, precious things goes a long, long way.

“You talk about the weight of what you have to do, how you can handle it. A bad man, someone truly evil? They’re light as a feather. They don’t feel a thing.”

Michonne and Merle’s relationship was never what one would call a “friendship.” Friendships don’t usually involve one person keeping the other against their will. But by the end of it all, they gained a lot of respect for each other. That wasn’t ever more clear than when Michonne explained to Merle, the show’s first “bad” guy, that even though he’s done some pretty questionable things to survive, the fact that he carried his guilt around with him shows that he was truly a good man deep down (under all of his blatant racism). Something to consider when you think yourself a villain.

“Both of us. We can just go back.”

Sometimes people get confused and venture away from where they belong. Sometimes they venture so far that they don’t know if they can ever go back. In this case, Merle had wandered so far from the group he started with that he played an active role in a few of them getting hurt. But Michonne reminded him that, even though it wouldn’t be easy by any means, the option to go back to Daryl and the rest of the group was still on the table.

Chances are, when a situation is bad, you can always take a breath and try to go back to the start of the thing to, at the very least, retrace your steps, and at best, make amends and move forward with the badness as a memory. Or you can crank some Lemmy and try to take care of all of your problems like a boss. The choice is yours.

“He’s already given me fleas.”

Look at that! Michonne made a funny! The old Michonne with a permanent scowl would’ve never done that. But the even better thing is that she did it to show that she was willing to put her life at risk of a virus to help one of her friends, a huge contrast to her previous lifestyle of mainly only looking out for herself.

If you can surprise people with a joke or two every once in awhile, maybe that’s a sign that maybe you’re taking things too seriously. If you can’t find a way to do that, then it’s a definite sign that you’re taking things too seriously.

“I made it so they couldn’t bite, couldn’t scratch. I tied chains around their necks. It was insane. It was sick. It felt like what I deserved, dragging them around so that I would always know. I found out that they kept me safe. They hid me. The walkers didn’t see me anymore. I was just another monster.”

Acting like you don’t have any actual problems and distracting yourself by helping everyone else instead only works for a while. Eventually, Michonne had to deal with the guilt she felt for knowing that the two walkers she made her pets for months actually used to be her husband and his best friend. Sure, she had to do what she had to do. But when you think about the kind of determination — or lack of empathy — it took to do it in the first place, you start to see why she felt so horrible.

“Don’t you want one more day with a chance?”

After spending years trying to just stay alive, people started to fall to physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. In this case, everyone was rightfully pissed off and disappointed that Eugene completely lied about being able to find a cure in Washington, D.C. Luckily, cooler heads, a.k.a. Michonne, prevailed and reminded the group that at the very least they should keep moving on and take things day by day.

“I put on this dress.”

Like everyone else in the group, Michonne had gotten used to living the same way for a long time. Always looking for food, shelter and safety were everyday concerns. But when they got to Alexandria, they all had a chance to walk a few steps away from that reality and into a new way of life. To help get them acclimated, they even got invited to a party. Michonne was so open to trying something different that she put away her leather vest, headband and katana and tried on a dress. If you need a literal dress or a dress stand-in to change things up, go ahead and do it. The rest of the world will wait while you take a moment for you.

“That’s how it is, isn’t it? You always think there’s one more peanut butter left.”

In a world full of threats, it’s nice to know that people still concern themselves with the little things. Especially Morgan, who spent a good amount of time on the wrong side of sanity. During an incredibly tense moment when the only thing standing between Michonne, Rick, and Morgan was a wall of sheet metal and an RV, Morgan remembered to ask her if she ate one of his protein bars a couple seasons back. Of course, she denied it.

“Have you ever had to kill people because they had already killed your friends and were coming for you next? Have you ever done things that made you feel afraid of yourself afterward? Have you ever been covered in so much blood that you didn’t know if it was yours or walkers’ or your friends’? Huh? Then you don’t know.”

The people of Alexandria were noticeably soft in comparison to the main group on the show. That even goes for the runners, like Heath. So when Heath tried to catch an attitude with Michonne because he thought she didn’t care about them and considered them expendable, she put him in his place by letting her know just how much she’s been through.

No matter what problems are in front of you, never forget (and never let others forget) that who you are and how you conquer those problems is something that was partially formed by all the sh*t you’ve already been through.
