After being fired from her job as “secretary of the Sunken Place” this week (she was actually the White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison and her appearance banging on the White House windows in the cold open, Leslie Jones as Omarosa Manigault-Newman to share her side of the story. See, it’s not what the lamestream media told us–that she was fired, had her key card deactivated and had to be escorted out of the building. “I left that job by choice…I quit. I deactivated my ID card. I changed the locks on my own office. I escorted myself off the premises and then I threw myself into the bushes.” She was then, of course, escorted off the Weekend Update set. Oh, disregard–my mistake. She actually escorted the security guard off the set and demanded he throw her into the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

We also got to see a few clips of black journalists responding to the news of Manigault-Newman’s firing, including raucous laughter, calm loathing and, of course, an iconic bastion of professionalism Robin Roberts sending her off with a “Bye, Felicia.” As Che said, “When you get a ‘bye Felicia’ from Robin Roberts, you know you suck.”
