It will never not bug me that the show isn’t called How I Met Your Father. CONTINUITY, PEOPLE. Anyway, we already know that Greta Gerwig is the new and improved Ted Mosby on the upcoming How I Met Your Mother spinoff, and according to E!, she will joined by Workaholics star Anders Holm, a.k.a. the tall one.
So is Holm taking on the role of the father? That doesn’t seem likely as he’s set to play Gavin, the soon-to-be ex-husband of the sitcom’s leading lady Sally, played by Greta Gerwig.
It should be noted that the role of Gavin is recurring, so Workaholics fans can still expect to see Holm get weird on the Comedy Central hit comedy he created with Adam DeVine and Blake Anderson. (Via)
It’s a big challenge for Holm, but I think he’s a good enough actor that he’ll be able to convincingly drink beers in a bar, not on a roof. Meanwhile, How I Met Your Dad/Father also cast Heroes‘ Nick D’Agosto and Mixology‘s Andrew Santino, so they have nowhere to go up, quality-wise.
