Ralphie May is a stand-up comedian from Arkansas, who was runner-up in the 2003 season of Last Comic Standing. He does a mean Sam Kinison impression; he’s had four Comedy Central specials and two Netflix specials. According to May, he is four-times platinum.
Yesterday, he also spent a great deal of time on Twitter. He seems to be going through a rough patch in his life. He’s losing his wife and kids over PTSD, stemming from an incident involving pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism.
My PTSD is from Bilateral double pneumonia and pulmonary embolism had to stay awake to breath for 9 days 5% chance to live drown for 9 days

In addition to revealing that, and many other things about his life, such as his breakfast preferences (“pussy”), Ralphie May went off on Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s star and stand-up comedian Chelsea Peretti. Why?
Because of the title of Peretti’s stand-up special.
my stand-up special on netflix is called ONE OF THE GREATS pic.twitter.com/A0uVa6PppI

I don’t think most people who are familiar with Peretti and her material would see the title of her special and believe she is putting herself in the same category as the all-time “greats” of stand-up comedians, but that’s apparently what Ralphie May thought she was doing. He didn’t take the suggestion well.
Jesus I love women comics but you're not even one of the greats from 2015, You are fucking funny but that's crazy. https://t.co/inXq716pLV

May had a lot of choice words for Peretti and her defenders on Twitter yesterday, but I think that Peretti herself said it best.
