There was a time when TV and movie companies could send out advance copies of programs for important reviewers and not worry if they would show up elsewhere. But the internet has made that impossible. Movies leaking early happens so often that it’s rarely even news these days, but TV shows are starting to go through this issue. Much like the first four episodes from this season’s Game of Thrones leaked to the internet, the first two episodes of Rick and Morty Season 2 are making the rounds a month early, likely sourced from a screener.
Co-creator Justin Roiland hopped on Reddit to express his disappointment. Roiland also thinks he figured out the person responsible for the leaks.
