Ruby Rose doesn’t really mind the comparisons to Justin Bieber, but in her recent interview with Galore Magazine, the Orange is the New Black star did admit that it bothers her when straight women tell her that she “turned them gay”. Rose told Galore:
“When people say to me that I turned them gay, I just laugh, because that’s not really even a possibility. It sounds like I did something against their will in the middle of the night, as if I crept into their brain and pushed the gay button, then did an evil laugh and left them to fend for themselves—newly gay and alone in the world.”
Rose then said that after the third season of Orange is the New Black she kept getting messages from straight women telling her that they thought she was cute, when Rose would message them back asking to hang out and go for coffee as friends, they wouldn’t respond back! According to Rose, she’s currently single and not looking.
Rose also discussed her early career when she worked as a VJ for MTV in Australia. During her days at MTV she ended up getting a contact high while interviewing the Wu-Tang Clan and then had to interview Kelly Clarkson while stoned. During her interview with Clarkson, she ended up comparing tattoos with the American Idol winner. The only thing that can make that story even better is if there was a Taco Bell run somewhere.
Season 4 of Orange is the New Black will premiere on Netflix June 17.
