Before Simpsons showrunner Al Jean answered every question on Twitter about “why is The Simpsons continuing without Harry Shearer,” “will they ever stop The Simpsons,” and “would you like to earn $33/hour working from home,” he divulged that Rick and Morty, from Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s show of the same name, will appear in Sunday’s episode.
It’s the third time this season The Simpsons has welcomed another animated show, but, unlike “Simpsons Guy” and “Simpsorama,” the “cheap cartoon crossover” will be contained to the couch gag.
