Teachers have unfortunately been having inappropriate relationships with their students for decades now; it just seems like it’s happening every other day now. SNL decided to speak for the person who always writes “NICE” in the comments with a sketch about student Pete Davidson being hot for Cecily Strong’s teacher. Unlike Sgt. Yates, a lot of fans weren’t happy.
I'm actually offended by this "hot for teacher" skit on #SNL …sends the wrong message about sexual abuse. Not cool. Not funny.

Just what we need, a sketch about a student having an affair with a teacher and everyone congratulating him as if he should be lauded.. #SNL

Can't believe no one in the room said, maybe this ain't funny, because you know, it's rape… #SNL

I don't expect great progressive things out of #SNL but this sketch about how student-teacher affairs are awesome is a new low.

What do you think? Is Pete Davidson “Fred Pimpstone,” or did SNL cross a line?
