Finally, the long-awaited Serial parody. If you haven’t listened to the podcast, you probably a) aren’t white, and b) had no idea what the hell was going on. The jokes and references were so specific that someone who doesn’t know what a “Nisha call” is probably wouldn’t like this sketch. For those who do, though, you came for Cecily Strong’s Sarah Koenig and stayed for Aidy Bryant’s on-point Cristina Gutierrez impression. It went on for a bit long, and the Kris Kringle joke never really landed, but I was still impressed by the attention to detail. Plus, Mail Kimp.
