Stephen Colbert once again took to the YouTube account for his new version of The Late Show to provide a morsel of comedy in the lead up to his September premiere, this time addressing the historic SCOTUS marriage equality decision. Gone are the references to oxy and gone are the silly hairstyles, replaced by rainbow flags and a very classy Johnny Carson coffee cup.
Colbert takes aim at the dissenting justices in the ruling, making fun of their reactions and also asking certain members to come on his show (“Baghead” Scalia). He also congratulates all the folks who can now take advantage of the ruling, something that also spread over to The Late Show twitter account.
