Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things all appeared on The Tonight Show last night, where we previously mentioned they finally had to answer up to Barb for leaving her in the upside down place. Sitting down with Jimmy Fallon, however, another topic of conversation came up on the table: that big kissing scene between Mike and Eleven.
For Brown and Wolfhard, the onscreen kiss was their first, and it will probably come as a huge surprise that the approximately 12-year-old aged kids… acted like a bunch of 12-year-old kids about it. “There’s a scene where you have a kiss,” Fallon starts off, to which Matarazzo and McLaughlin immediately begin “ooooooohing,” while Brown adorably rolls her eyes and makes a face and Wolfhard just hangs his head and blushes.
The love interests also seemed to share different opinions of the kiss, which apparently required not one, but two packs of Tic Tacs, as well as plenty of ribbing from their costars armed with the kissy-face emoji. “The thing is, the reaction to it was really funny,” Brown recalled. “Because I got up, and I said, kissing sucks, and then Finn was like, it wasn’t too bad?” One day, Millie. One day.
Later on the show — in what was probably a relief to Brown and Wolfhard — Fallon played a game of “Stranger Strings with the kids of Stranger Things,” which mostly involved everyone spraying each other with silly string. Spoiler alert, cuteness lies ahead.
