Tara Lynne was nice enough to take a few minutes out of her busy schedule recently to answer a few questions from us.
1. You walk into a bar. What do you order from the bartender?
Gin and tonic. Then I’d walk up to the toughest-looking guy in the place and give him investment advice.
2. Who’s your favorite person to follow on Twitter and/or Instagram?
Patton Oswalt on Twitter. Amy Sedaris on Instagram.
3. What’s currently waiting for you on your DVR?
Bob’s Burgers, The Walking Dead, the last few episodes of Documentary Now.
4. It’s your last meal — what are you going out with?
Any carb covered in cheese is a safe bet.
5. What websites do you visit on a regular basis?
Huffington Post, Yelp, Tumblr, Instagram for the shameful amount of food accounts I follow.
6. What’s the most frequently played song on your mobile device?
“Highway Star” by Deep Purple. P.S. do not listen while sitting in LA traffic.
7. The first face that comes to mind when you think “punchable?”
Donald Trump. You probably get that a lot. I STAND BY MY CHOICE.
8. What’s the last thing you googled?
“Drew Barrymore ’90s bangs”
9. Dogs or cats?
Dogs, always. I’ve never met a dog that hasn’t made me want to be a better person.
10. Best concert of your life was…?
Patti Smith at the Roxy. I showed up to the venue without a ticket, just hoping for the best, and the universe was like, “Hey, girl, we heard you were a fan of Patti Smith. Here’s a really chill scalper. You got cash on you?” And I did. Long story short: She’s a goddess and we are not worthy.
11. What book are you most likely to give as a gift?
Anything by Charles Bukowski. Or a nice cookbook.
12. What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?
My family has helped me move several times and they always give it 110 percent. I’m never not touched.
13. South Park or Family Guy?
South Park.
14. You have an entire day to do whatever you want. What would you do?
Wake up early (guzzle coffee), go for a hike, drive up the coast, have a piece of cake at the Madonna Inn, drive home listening to podcasts and true-crime audiobooks.
15. What movie can you not resist watching if it’s on?
Silence of the Lambs. Yes, family and friends have expressed their concern.
16. The sports team or teams you’re most passionate about?
Anaheim Ducks.
17. Where did you eat the best meal of your life?
Franklin BBQ in Austin, Texas. I firmly believe every meal should be served on butcher paper with a loaf of Wonder Bread on the side.
18. The last movie you saw in a theater?
Nosferatu the Vampyre at the New Beverly. Because I am artistic and endlessly fascinating and vamps are cool as shit.
19. Who was your first celebrity crush?
Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon.
20. What would you cook if Nic Cage was coming to your house for dinner?
I would cook him a big ole steak — bloody as hell — before we curled up for the main-event: Nic Cage movie marathon, probably.
