Dr. Taylor Lautner is ready to see you now. Well, not you (even though you’re lovely and your insurance checks out), but he is ready to deal with the delirious horror mayhem that surrounds season two of Scream Queens.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lautner will play Dr. Cassidy Cascade (A+ name!) in the next go-around of Ryan Murphy’s Fox horror series. He joins a growing cast that includes the arrival of John Stamos, which checks out because the show racked up a Costco-sized body count in the first season. Lautner’s Dr. Cascade “suffers from a strange medical condition” and will become a suspect when tragic events occur at the hospital that serves as the center of the new season. Variety noted earlier this year that they spoke with sources who believe the shift to a hospital setting was partially prompted by Fox execs who considered the sorority theme of the first season to be too niche.
Lautner adds to a roster that also includes a healthy assortment of returning talent like Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele and Keke Palmer. Oh! Also, Glen “Chad Radwell” Powell is back too. Good things all around. The new season of Scream Queens will premiere its unique brand of kills, thrills, and chills on September 20.
