We are literally right around the corner from beginning TV’s new fall season, and one of the shows that’s gained a lot of interest is ABC’s new take on The Muppets. Described as a more adult-skewing series, the show will be presented in a mockumentary format similar to that of The Office and Modern Family. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Clark Gregg just won’t tell Pepe the King Prawn anything:
The Goldbergs star Wendi McLendon-Covey helps coach Gonzo with some acting tips:
Sweetums sits on Anthony Anderson’s phone and shows off his horrible lying skills:

ABC looks to be going all-in with promotion for the new program, and rightfully so. The big four networks seem to be heavily armed with promising-looking shows going into the fall, and Kermit and the gang have always seemed to be a surefire hit with bringing the viewers. Will the new series work? We don’t have too much longer to wait to find out, as The Muppets will premiere on ABC on September 22 at 8 p.m.
