Millions of words have been spent on why Bronies are the way that they are, for one good reason: they seem so damn happy. Conventional wisdom says that a 43-year-old man shouldn’t enjoy My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and spend his mother’s hard-earned money on Fluttershy corncob holders, but hey, to paraphrase Sheryl Crow, if it makes you LEAVING LAS VEGAS. I may have messed that up, but the point remains: Bronies (and Juggalos) are more endearing than most other nerd cults, like Trekkers and the Star Wars version of Trekkers, because they’re genuine. It’s easy and cool to like Star Trek; to be a My Little Pony fan, you REALLY need to be a My Little Pony fan.
Which is to say: I love everything about the “My Little Pony Convention 2013 Highlights” video below, via Deadspin, especially the Art Alexakis-lookalike who fell harder than *Everclear reference about divorce*.
