We’ve already gone through all the 2014 Emmy nominees and decided who should win, but for some reason the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is insisting on going the with tonight’s ceremony anyway. Okay, fine. Our way would have saved host Seth Meyers a solid $150 on his tuxedo rental, but again, not our call.
The show starts at 8:00 PM ET tonight on NBC, with the Red Carpet coverage kicking off two hours earlier on E! at 6:00. (Technically, the Red Carpet coverage starts at 5:55 because E! refuses to makes anything simple ever. Shoutout to whichever poor celebrity actually shows up in that tiny, sad five-minute window.) Interesting fact: No Seacrest tonight. The ceremony getting bumped from Sunday to Monday this year caused a scheduling conflict that will result in his absence. Giuliana Rancic and Ross Mathews will take his place. That’s … something!
Anyway, here’s your live thread to discuss all the winners and losers, people who fall down or cuss, and whatever the hell tumbles out of Matthew McConaughey’s mouth if he takes home the statue for Best Actor. Do with it as you please.
