The Walking Dead is television’s biggest show right now, and an entire industry has popped up around it to satiate the desire for more post-apocalyptic zombie experiences. The Walker Stalker Con tours across America year round, and last Halloween they had a big party at Terminus, where all who arrive survive (until turned into BBQ).
The organization’s events are only getting cooler. A few months ago, they held the first Walker Stalker Cruise, which was such a success they’re doing it again. From the press release:
The Walking Dead will come alive aboard Norwegian Pearl February 3-6, 2017 with Norman Reedus (Daryl), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Tom Payne (Jesus), Michael Traynor (Nicholas) and more! Special effects guru, director, producer, and writer, Greg Nicotero, will also join 2,600 undead devotees for the second annual Walker Stalker Cruise.
…
Sailing round-trip from Miami, Florida to their very own private island, Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, Walker Stalker Cruise guests will vacation for three days with Reedus, Riggs, Cudlitz, Payne, Nicotero and more cast members from The Walking Dead, while taking part in panels, photo ops, autograph sessions, cosplay contests, theme nights, and more to be announced.
You had me at Norman Reedus, guys.
But the cruise ship doesn’t sound too shabby either, boasting “15 decks of dining and entertainment, 13 bars and lounges, 19 dining experiences, one outdoor pool, hot tubs, and an award-winning spa,” among other amenities. The boat leaves port February 3, 2017 for three days of Walking Dead fun, and prices start at $790. Not a bad price for a chance to bite Norman in an environment where you can’t be kicked out.
