Jennifer Lopez was on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night to promote The Boy Next Door, which looks like an early contender for the best worst movie of 2015. Speaking of bad movies, Lopez got into a little discussion about her worst films, saying that there are movies of hers that she’s completely forgotten/ She included Anaconda among the list of movies of hers that “suck,” which is a terrible thing to say about a classic.
Gigli, on the other hand? That wasn’t a classic. That movie ended the career of two-time Oscar nominee Martin Brest (Scent of a Woman, Beverly Hills Cop, Midnight Run), who hasn’t been heard from since the movie came out. Lopez defended the movie, however, saying that “there are worse movies than Gigli.”
Are there? Really? I mean, technically. Maybe. But when a movie is as bad as Gigli, it’s kind of a wash. The most it warrants is, like, being tied for worst movie ever.
In the clip, Lopez also talks about being the inspiration for “Baby Got Back,” and raising twins.
