Tig Notaro, who released one of the best comedy albums in recent memory (new favorite Wikipedia sentence: “Live ended up selling more copies than Kiss’ album Monster, which debuted the same week, something Notaro said she never dreamed could happen”), is set to star in a semi-autobiographical Amazon series. She’ll also co-write the still-untitled comedy, which will be produced by Louis C.K. and Diablo Cody. The logline reads:
“Tig Notaro has just recovered from an abdominal disease that has left her gaunt, wasted, exhausted, and pretty much stripped of everything except her finely honed sense of the absurd. Abruptly summoned home to Pass Christian, Miss., to take her ailing mother off life support, Tig finds herself dealing with her clingy girlfriend, her dysfunctional Gulf Coast family, and the loss of the one person who held everything together.” (Via the Hollywood Reporter)
There’s no premiere date yet, so if you want your Tig fix, you should watch her new HBO special, Boyish Girl Interrupted, which debuts Aug. 22, or watch the Netflix documentary.
Notaro also recently joined Twitter, except not really.
It’s Tig’s first day on twitter and she’s already nailing it by letting me @SarahKSilverman tweet for her.

My lifelong dream has been to spend one day tweeting for Tig. I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself tomorrow. – @kumailn
