I’ve often said TV could use more shows about stoners going to the past and future using a device made for smoking marijuana — a time-traveling bong, if you will — where they encounter dinosaurs, ancient Greeks, and witch trials. Well, good news for me and my 10th-grade notebook, where I’m pretty sure I came up with the same concept: Time-Traveling Bong is coming to Comedy Central for a three-part miniseries beginning April 20, because obviously.
In case you’ve forgotten what a show called Time-Traveling Bong is about, possibly because you were, like, totally high, man:
Time Traveling Bong centers on two cousins, played by (Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer and Paul W. Downs), who discover a time traveling bong and ride high as they blaze through time.
Their buzz is killed when the bong breaks and the cousins are forced to bounce around the space-time continuum, learning to appreciate there’s no time like the present.
I’m trying to imagine a universe where Time Traveling Bong isn’t a rip-roaring success, and I can’t. Although I probably said the same thing about Hot Tub Time Machine, too (as opposed to Hot Tub Time Machine 2), which wasn’t quite as good as a movie called HOT TUB TIME MACHINE should be. It could have used more dinosaurs. Anyway, look forward to April 20, 2017, when Hot Tub Time Traveling Bong Machine premieres on Comedy Central.
