If there is one thing that David Letterman has gotten an education on in his final year on television, it’s the selfie. He’s taken them with Emma Stone, ruined a pair with Martha Stewart and helped Bill Murray fulfill his dreams of taking one with Lady Gaga. Tonight it was Tom Hanks‘ turn, and Hanks came prepared.
Armed with a selfie stick he purchased in Florence, apparently, Hanks introduced Letterman to the wonders of a properly framed selfie. Or he created a monster. I’m not entirely sure and I’m surprised selfie sticks aren’t completely banned in New York City. And the nation. Hanks probably smuggled it in and used his charms to get past security.
