It’s not AMC. It’s not FX. Or TBS or TNT. It’s not even ESPN. The number one basic cable network among total viewers for 28 consecutive quarters is the USA Network. It averages 2.7 million viewers during primetime, thanks in part to Danger, who has never encountered an episode of Burn Notice he hasn’t already seen twice. We can attribute this remarkable run to one man: Bruce Campbell. In the most recent quarter, USA Network had three of the series among the top 10 basic cable shows: Burn Notice, Graceland, and Psych. It may not be the most intelligent programming on television, but at least we can chalk up a win for scripted programming. (via TVByTheNumbers)
